Previously Published Data

1.) Students will solve and graph several quadratic equations. 2.) Students will write in their Mathematics Journals what they discovered about the roots of the equation and how roots compare to the x-coordinate when y = 0. They will determine that the root is the x-intercept.

Previously Published Data

1.) Students will graph the equation y = x(x) - x - 2, mark the x-intercepts, and label the coordinates.

2.) Students will factor x(x) - x - 2 and explain how they can know the x-intercepts without graphing the equation.
