Previously Published Data Given a drawing of a rectangular box, students will use blocks to build it. They will find the surface area and volume of the box. They will show the equation used for each measurement and draw the net (the two-dimensionol pattern that will form the box). Students can work in groups of 2-5 or individually, depending on their experience. |
Previously Published Data Given a net, students will find its perimeter, its surface area, and the volume it would hold if it were folded. They will show the equation used to find each measurement and label units correctly for each measurement. Students will show their work and explain their thinking in words, drawings, and mathematics.
