Previously Published Data 1.) Students will use sketches to model problems in their "My Story Problems" booklet, then explain their thinking processes in finding solutions. 2.) Students will solve problems like the following with or without manipulatives: One of the goblins was very clumsy. He broke 2 cups on Monday, 3 cups on Tuesday, 5 cups on Wednesday, 8 cups on Thursday, and 12 cups on Friday. If this pattern continues, how many cups will he break on Saturday? 3.) Students will explain their mathematical thinking by writing in their Mathematics Journals and in oral presentations. |
