Have students put these notes on notecards. Give time to practice as group members help with fluency between glancing at the cards, using aides and speaking. In addition, have students time the speeches and offer suggestions on eye contact, voice intonation and volume. Require students to invite their parents and provide an invitation form to be signed by a parent. Invite other teachers and staff members to attend as well.



1.) Distribute Speech Evaluation Forms. Arbitrarily choose five students to evaluate each speaker using the form. Designate three students to time them.
