1.) Have students view science videos and respond with at least five statements (using Inspiration software or listing on paper). They will decide and record their assessment and justification of whether the statements are fact or opinion. Students will think and write to add details to the facts learned from the video, then ask questions about at least one area (What was? Why did? How does? When did? Why do you think?) They will research to find out more. This activity culminates in a well organized report of information containing summary information from the video and other sources with key ideas supported by details. Have students give an oral presentation to share information with small groups of classmates. A visual aide such as a poster, laser picture, or video clip is a requirement.
