Students explain a time that they have been or will have to be brave or show determination to get a job done. Students explain a time that they have been or will have to be brave or show determination to get a job done. During story telling students will describe ways in which a character from the story book was being a good citizen. Teachers can do on going informal assessments throughout the year by observing how students act like good citizens in the classroom and on the playground. After listening to the story "Little Red Hen"
students will orally describe one character from the story and tell the
consecquences for its behavior in the story. For example, the Little
Red Hen was rewarded with bread after all her hard work, and the foxes
were punished for trying to steal the bread.
