After reading Chapter 7 students will work in small groups to perform skits that
deal with the various problems that slaves and/or free blacks encountered.  The skit should include research  from the Internet or other sources including the book or video.

Use a rubric to show high scores for groups who perform their skits memorized and
with some use of props.  High scores will indicate that the group understands the
specific problems of the African Americans in America at that time.
